experience, including the past 12 of which has been being a
guide as well as camp owner/manager, Rock Camp Outfitters
takes pride in their operation and in providing the best
possible guides, cooks and other personal facilities for the
moose hunting trips of our guests. If you are looking for
the adventure of a moose, caribou, bear

combination of any of the above, Rock Camp
Outfitters would like to be at your service. Our
Newfoundland hunting camps are second to none.
All of our hunting, except for the occasional ATV ride, is
done on foot, with one guide for each hunter. Walking at
times can be rugged. For this reason, it is important for
everyone to be in relatively good physical shape. This
method of hunting provides the highest quality personalized
trophy hunts with excellent success rates. Access to Rock
Camp Outfitters camp is by float plane and helicopter.
If you decide to hunt with Rock Camp Outfitters, a
representative of Rock Camp Outfitters will meet you in Deer
Lake, Newfoundland and be your source of information as
plans are made to take you to the hunting camp where you
will enjoy a full week of hunting for moose, caribou and
black bear. We would like to make your
Newfoundland Moose Hunting trip a trip of a life time.
All hunters have access to spike camps, which are smaller
camps located away from the main camp. These camps sometimes
provide an advantage in hunting depending on such things as
game movement and weather.
The main camps are equipped with a radio telephone for both
inventory checks and emergencies. This facility is checked
regularly by my flight service during the course of each
hunt. However, since there is no controlling the weather,
delays in and out sometimes occur.
